We have a new patch and it's a big one this time around!

Dear Raiders,

The main goal for this patch is to dive deep into Card power and come out of it with more meaningful Card choices for each Raider. We're happy with the result, but regrettably the Wardog faction and its Raiders are not ready just yet.

This is because -good news! - we caught some nasty, nasty bugs and we all agreed it was better to rush the patch without Wardog balance to get the bugs fixed ASAP.

Card balance changes for Alicia, Loaht and H.I.V.E. will come in the next soon-to-be-released patch.

Bug fixes:

- Fixed a bug where certain Raider skins were not giving ammo when killed.
- Fixed a bug causing Mikah's Photon Shield Card give infinite invulnerability time.
- Fixed a rare bug where the player was not able to respawn after a cutscene.
- Fixed a bug in "A Fistful of Sand" where the Protector was not applying shooter damage resistance when being shot by the turrets.
- Fixed a rare bug causing the menu to lock after receiving rewards at the end of a mission.
- Several fixes to Schneider's Mech's animations in "Double Agent".

Mission balance:

- All antagonist spawn points have been revamped.

Matchmaking and rewards:

- High MMR players are currently not being rewarded enough for their time and success. We’ve reworked the weight distribution of MMR and time/deaths towards the final score, however, this is only part of the problem.
- Longer queue times also lead to a loss of income per hour that cannot be fully compensated by increasing rewards. We’ll be widening matchmaking parameters for high MMR players to better balance for that, most aggressively on high MMR antagonist queues.
- Antagonist rewards now consider Raiders' skill instead match difficulty.




Character balance:

- And of course, there's a healthy bit of Raider balancing as well! :)

Ginebra

Ginebra is a very strong Raider. She is a complex character and can rightfully be very strong when controlled by players with a playstyle aligned to her hit-and-run nature.

She is a bit too accessible now. We've adjusted some of her weapon's parameters aiming at better challenging the player's skill when using them. Also, her Cougar form is now more clearly defined as an escape mechanism that demands timing and precision.

- Cougar life decreased from 100 to 60 health points
- Decreased C33 SU-Schleuder's damage before bounces by 15%
- Decreased C33 SU-Schleuder's projectile detection size by 30%
- Decreased Javelin Ursa M-02's damage by 10% at low tightening levels
- Increased the minimum distance at which Javelin Ursa M-02 starts increasing its damage from 5 to 8 meters
- Decreased J. Wheel M-11's time between shots by 25%
- Decreased J. Wheel M-11's reload time by 35%
- Lowered Fifth Council player character's resistance to shooter damage from 63% to 60%

 Dr. Kuzmann

Our favorite Doctor is performing very well as well. His ability to fight off the bigger crowds found at high difficulties is his most prominent feature and we totally want to keep that. He needs, however, more clearly defined weaknesses. We've lowered his direct damage across the board, except of course for his newest single-target weapon, Ingrid.

- Some weapons have had their crosshairs redesigned.



Card balance:

We've wanted to shake Card power for a long time and, finally, this is it. All Cards have been rebalanced. We believe every Raider should have distinct builds for different missions and types of players. We are determined to be really aggressive about this and will continue to watch the system closely in the future.

The Wardog faction and its Raiders are not included here. A Card rebalance for this faction as well as Alicia, Loaht and H.I.V.E. will come in the next patch.
